About

A little introduction if you’re new here to my page. My name is Laura Rose, an experienced retreat chef focused on showcasing the beautiful food and ingredients the South West of the UK, namely Somerset, has to offer. This also includes the rambling garden, hedgerows, woodlands and fields that surround my home near Glastonbury. I’m also a bit of a sourdough geek and currently run workshops to help people start their journey with this incredible, ancient form of bread making. Using higher welfare, responsibly sourced, local meat and fish, organic flours, and focusing on sustainability, is at the heart of my ethos as an omnivorous chef and baker. Creating a bespoke experience for each and every client I cater for. Equally I’m a realist, we can’t always afford to eat in the way we would like to, so I’m also hugely invested in raising awareness of feeding ourselves well, with affordable workshops on the horizon and collaborations to come in the future. We all need to push for a healthier, more positive world and I hope to play a small part in that. Empowerment being at the heart of my mission.
